For a lot of people, a big part of weddings are celebrating their community. The people who lift you up when you need it. The people who you enjoy spending time with. Your family and your friends. When Ember and Dave decided to get married, they thought they’d elope or do a courthouse ceremony. But then a good friend of theirs reminded them of what an amazing community they had around them. They told them they should see if they can rally those they loved around them so they could all celebrate together. And rally they did. At one point during their ceremony at Quail Hollow Ranch, they turned to their community and made vows to them as well as to each other. That’s one of the coolest things I’ve witnessed.
I am honored I was a part of this community who came together. I have been friends with Ember for a long time. We haven’t lived close to each other in quite a while, but she’s easily one of my favorite people on the planet.
Here are some of my favorite images from their Santa Cruz wedding that celebrate them and those they love.

If you want to eat corn dogs and ride a carousel at your wedding, I want to be your wedding photographer! I mean, I do either way, but that would be a huge plus. 😉 Whatever your wedding is going to look like, drop me a note and let’s chat about how I can help make it great.
