You know you’re still behind on blogging when you are working on a couple’s wedding blog the same week you show up to photograph their newborn baby. But in a time that’s weird for everyone, it was simultaneously so good to see Emily and James and to meet Miles (and their pup Freddie) and relive all the fun from last summer’s San Francisco wedding at Stern Grove. To top it off, Mel, Emily’s sister, was also there to lend a hand (I shot her awesome Phoenix wedding last spring). It was nice to see familiar faces and equally nice to be able to photograph them. What can I say, I like people and I like making them look good.
Emily and James’ Stern Grove wedding was at the same time intimate and filled with close family and friends. Relaxed and super fun. My part of the night ended covering a s’mores toasting. That seems just right.
Here are some of my favorite wedding photos from their big day last summer in San Francisco at the Trocadero Clubhouse at Stern Grove.
Shot with: Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 5D Mk III
Lenses used: Canon 24mm 1.4L, Canon 50mm 1.2L, Canon 135 2.0L
This is one of four shoots I’ve done for this client and her family. An engagement session, two weddings, and a newborn session. I like cool people and I think they like me too. Let’s start with your engagement session or wedding and start documenting your awesome life.
