Jen and Ryan got married at the courthouse in Mesa and hired me to take some photos afterward with just them, their daughter, their parents…and their restored VW cars. When Jen asked me about that last part, I got excited. I’m not a car guy per se, but I certainly can appreciate classic beauties like these and as a photographer, they’re just fun to shoot. When I showed up and Jen was rocking a sequined shrug and Ryan had on a Mos Eisley Cantina t-shirt (Star Wars!), my pre-excitement was confirmed. These two were absolutely themselves and doing what they wanted with their wedding. It showed me who they were, a couple classics I can appreciate.
