Today’s One Shot comes from a fun, styled bridal shoot I did with some cool people. Colleen, from the FORD/Robert Black Agency, was our beautiful model. Melissa, from Matriarch Salon, was did her wonderful hair thing. The image itself is a bit of a tease since it doesn’t highlight Colleen’s lovely face our Melissa’s wicked hair job, but it’s still one of my favorite images from the shoot. I think I just love the simplicity in the framing, how the flowers are the highlight, and that killer soft light just after that sun has started dipping past the horizon. For this whole shoot, I played with my editing techniques. I tried some new touch up methods, added some film grain in Lightroom, and introduced just a touch of a reddish, vintage feel to the overall look.
Shot with my Canon 5D Mk III and a Canon 100mm 2.8L Macro lens at ISO 400, f2.8, 1/400th sec.
Aaron Kes (me!) is a Phoenix wedding photographer who also shoots weddings in Scottsdale, Tempe, the United States of America, and Earth. Seriously, I love to travel to shoot and do so often. Let’s have some fun!
