Where New York City meets San Francisco. Sandy is a science nerd who grew up in SF and Dong is a motorcycle-riding student studying abroad in NYC from China. That these two met despite coming from opposite ends of the world is the stuff romantic movies are made of. To top it off, it took a trip to southern Utah to really show them just how much they had chosen the right person to be with. After some grueling hiking in Zion and Bryce Canyon each day, the temperature unexpectedly dropped below zero at night. Yet, with sleeping bags, and every piece of clothing they brought dumped on top of them for warmth, they kept it romantic and fun. 

For these adventure lovers, Big Sur seemed like the perfect romantic place for their engagement session. Countless books, music, and movies have been inspired by this place. I know I was so taken by the beauty I’m sure I almost fell in the ocean at least a few times. I hope you enjoy what we made. 

I just want to throw a shout out to Katie, my fiancé. She was my adventure companion as well as my assistant for all these shoots on the West Coast. I couldn’t ask for someone better.
