I first met these two (plus Taliah’s sister and adorable dog Bandit) over FaceTime as they live in Seattle. We got along right away. They told me about how they got engaged. When Jon thought about how he wanted to propose to Taliah, he knew he wanted it to be something intimate in their home. Something that would feel natural and relaxed. He ended up popping the question as they waited for water to boil for coffee. I adore this story. Love kicked up to the highest level over something so human they share together everyday. And if you meet them, it feels very much them. Humble, sweet, and loving.
Their wedding day was all of that and as a bonus, it was at one of my favorite venues, the Desert Botanical Garden. Jon’s mother works there, so I was humbled more than ever they chose me. Here are a handful of the many awesome pictures from their wedding day.

I love hearing about how people get engaged. Everyone has a different approach. Some are perfectly planned and meticulous, some suffer fun little hiccups that make for even better stories, and some are personal and intimate. They are all good. Tell me how you got engaged. I’d love to meet you.
